Merry Christmas!!!

This was a most wonderful Chirstmas!!!!

We began our festivities with the Kurt Bestor concert (which was a first time for many of us)
On Christmas Eve, Kenna, Lance, Cade, Kara, Jeff and I had a middle eastern dinner - on the floor with candles. We had kabobs, hummus, flatbread, olives and couscous. Baklava was our dessert. As is tradition, we all opened out Christmas PJ's and got right comfortable. We had a fierce competiton with the gingerbread house making, but didn't really call a winner - they each had alot of personality. We made popcorn balls (tradition) and watched the DVD that I sent out for our Christmas cards - then off to bed!

Christmas Morning was wonderful with german pancakes made by Cade and Lance. Then we just relaxed, investigated each other's gifts and enjoyed the morning.

Christmas Afternoon was spent with April, Vicente and the twins, Marcie, Josh, Liam and Layla, Tara, Steve and Taryn. We had a great meal and opened gifts. I had to take a leave for a wile to the Brown Christmas party and the storm was so bad when it was time to return home that I just stayed over. I had some nice conversations with Dad and Sharyn, and some of Sharyn's kids and grandkids.

In and through the holiday, we had a great game of Airsoft, made Christmas Cookes, Had Christmas Eve visits from Santa, Sharyn's 70th Birthday party, The Tuckett Christmas party etc..........

Monday through Friday Morning was spent at Dad and Sharyn's cabin in Idaho. The weather was incredible - fresh snow and mostly sunshine. There was sledding, snowmobiles, games, great food, movies, skeet shooting, and always a warm fire! Dad and Sharyn came up for New Years with some of my family. Jeff and I even got a half a day all to ourselves between groups and had a relaxing and well deserved nap! One of the best things was sitting around the fire listening to Grandpa share stories from his life!

Our focus was on our Savior, recognition and gratitude for our blessings and the pure enjoyment of being with the ones we love so very much!!
